After 2 months with mdc 2.1 r4, i decided to flash to 2.2 jellyfish today.

i have been using 2.5.0.9, but when i tried to boot to Clockworkmod by pressing the vol-down button during reboot,
it doesnt bring me to the clockworkmod menu, it just kept stuck at the inverted "Android words" and loop reboots.

then i tried with 2.5.1.3 and 2.5.1.8 both with no luck ...

any ideas ? thanks ...

did you erase your cache? You might also need to erase data, so hope you backed up in case you want to go back.

if all else fails, you can use TPT to load clockwork onto the recovery partition.

I've had this once or twice and the only thing I could put it down to was trying to get into clockwork with the usb cable still plugged in. Once I removed the cable it worked...

This could just have been coincidence tho.

Hi Kavern,

As you can see in my thread http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...y-mode-anymore/ I have the same problem as you.

The only thing that works for me is the image installation. Try the Japanese Jellyfish image. The installation works and the ROM is great.

You can find a very good howto here. Search for 'Total Phone Transfer'. There you find a good description and some ROMs supporting this installation method.

Any ideas again ? Thanks.

You are going to have to install Clockwork either using fast boot or on the device itsself (I assume you have root already)

Her is the post to follow
http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...and-other-roms/

Go right to the bottom - this bit

ALTERNATE Stage 1: Install ClockworkMod - Flash Clockwork without Fastboot

See the bit

Download and install the Terminal Emulator from the Market
http://www.appbrain.com/app/android-termin...pal.androidterm

su

Then we Flash the Clockwork img to the recovery part of the device
CODE
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-clockwork-blade-2.5.1.8.img

tried this before .... doesn't work at all ...
the problem is still existing after TPT or even the Clockworkmod TPT Rom
I just cant boot into clockworkmod or the RA recovery, it comes with a bootloop.

i don't think the partition is corrupted or any bad sector.

the clockwork tpt hungary rom recovery.img is taken from my own phone,
works fine for me, you do have to release the power button, while still holding volume down

so hold volume down, tap power so green android shows, keep volume down held, clockworkmod shows up

will give it a shot later ...
but I don't feel hopeful at all ...

the fact is that I had a workable clockworkmod but it just suddenly became dead and not working (resulting a bootloop)
and no matter how many times i tried to flash that partition, it still gives me the bootloop ...
