Hi all,

Hope you guys can help!

I've been noticing my Desire getting more and more unreliable over the past few days, randomly sleeping and not waking up etc. Thinking it was a problem with a WIP release of MCR r4 with Froyo I updated to r6 today but it still hasn't solved the problem.

I usually have to remove the battery to get it to come back, sometimes this cures it for a while but sometimes it just won't boot back up (the quietly brilliant text animates REALLY slowly).

I booted it into recovery just now out of curiosity. Here's what the top lines read (worrying one starred):
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.80.000
****TOUCH PANEL-fail****
RADIO-5.09.00.00
Mar 29 2010, 21:34:33

When i launch into ClockworkMod recovery the display then seems to go interlaced, a little like this Photoshop (sorry if this hurts your eyes!):
Attached File  interlace.png (3.26K)
Number of downloads: 37
and takes ages to load.

Now, I did drop the phone onto a quite hard floor on Sunday, but there were no obvious ill-effects then. My question is: Do i have a duff phone or duff software?

Thanks,
James.

Reflashed it back to stock HTC/T-Mobile ROM and it seems happier for the moment!

Will monitor the situation, in the meantime, massive thanks to SGTDavePwnage for his uber patience in guiding me through downgrading the bootloader and reflashing the stock ROM! :(
