You've been waiting for it, now here it comes !
A port of FRF50 (beta Froyo for nexus one) on acer liquid !
Almost everything works, and it should be usable for daily use.
As far as I know, what currently doesn't work is wifi, camera, and there are many known bugs (listed below).
I've made as little changes as Google's release, so that moders can use it the way they want.

Known bugs:
-Wiping data delete the gsm radio. The /system is too little to have everything, so the ril is in /data.
-Android won't detect SD card if there is an ext2 on it. It tries to mount it as vfat instead of mounting the correct one.
-Black/white lines appearing somehow randomly.
-This is supported only for donut ROMs. (It starts on eclair ones, but no 3G and no usb.). It has been only tested on 2.0xxx, but I believe it should work on all builds.
-No tethering works currently.
-This is unsigned, since I haven't found out how to sign it yet. (I can't know everything :( )
-Headset detection works, but isn't shown in notification panel.
-No AGPS, so getting a GPS fix can be slow.

So, a little list of what's new in this build (they are just froyo build):
-JIT java compiler, makes java code way faster
-V8, makes internet even faster (yes I know, without wifi it's quite pointless)
-Official App2SD. Please note that only few apps support it ATM. (you can try neocore for instance)
-Update launcher2 with a more useful "dock"
-Flash, of course ! :(
And many other little changes.
Also, there is my own multitouch code that makes it a bit less buggy (but when you'll try it, you'll see that this fix isn't of any actual use)

Please use http://code.google.c...oyo/issues/list to report bugs
This thing doesn't really have a name, but if you want one, it will be FRFRR (or Phhroyo if you know that "ph" in french is quite the same as "f")

Download url: http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-froyo...?name=Froyo.zip

Enjoy !
That was quite a hard work, so please donate !

Also thanks to vache and malez for their tests, knowledge sharing and support.

First mod by Xian1, and seems promising:
http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...ian-v1-liquidf/

Update (23rd June 2010):
Full:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S9P799GO
Update: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UPAF7YD8
-Included ramzswap and 880MHz @ 1.25V
-USB OTG (I could test only cable detection and turning on host mode, I don't know if it actually works)
-working iptables (droidwall work)
-working usbnet
-Tethering almost work. It's kind of random, and you must do echo 1 > /sys/class/usb_composite/rndis/enable after connected and before going in the tethering menu.
-changed H264/m4v higher resolution limit to 720p (I don't think that's useful but well ...)

Update file comes soon.

So we have to flash 2.000.16 and then Froyo pack or can we flash it on the 1.100.05?

Not the bin, just the .zip

Wow!
If this is only the alpha, it's great!
It's only a little bit slow on the Launcher (i think that using Launcher PRO would be better), but it's so nice!

As soon as you manage to get WiFi working, I'll use it for daily use.

Great job!

I know that, but as I said, it's as vanilla as possible.

Yes, it wasn't a critic and not a suggestion to replace Launcher2.apk with LauncherPRO. :(
It was only a my thought.

I'm trying it and i think that you have made a really GREAT work. It's not so slow, and it has a lot of interesting feature.
Can't wait to have WiFi. I have no Data SIM connection, so I'm unable to test Browser, Market, YouTube and all other things.

Going to try some apks :(
