Can you make this for the HTC Droid Eris We have 120 forum pages at xda and have gotten nowhere. If you base it off the MR1 update, we have the full MR1 update so we can simply flash that then before booting just apply your superboot

I'm with him as well. I'd like details of the exploit, hopefully being able to modify it to run on the HTC Desire (Verizon Droid Eris).

Thanks!

having trouble getting to bootloader mode
never see battery icon on screen with battery pulled and usb hooked up
is there something esoteric that I could be missing?
if I ever do get to the point where I have the battery icon what are you referring too that is the camera button?
nexus one doesn't have a dedicated camera button that I know of.

Thanks

Here are the steps as I have tried them:

1) shutdown phone
2) pull battery
3) plug in usb cable with battery still removed ( have tried this with USB connected to laptop and with USB connected to AC power )
----- this is where the battery icon is supposed show up on the screen according to the instructions but does not in my case ----

Any insight appreciated

can superboot be used to root Stock OS of most Android phones i.e. G1, Mytouch etc, so that one can get root access as that of the google nexus one.

- Put your device in bootloader mode - turn if off, remove battery, plug in USB cable, when battery icon appears onscreen, replace battery then tap the powerbutton while holding the Camera key

Ciao Paul,
one friend confirmed to me that your procedure to put the nexus in bootloader mode does not work. No battery icon appears in no way when battery is removed. There is no camera key on the nexus.
Please let us know in which way you have tested your procedure. Are you able to submit a video of a rooted nexus?
Thanks

edit:
My friend has been able to enter fastboot mode (by pressing and holding the Trackball and turning on the phone). But when he strike the superuser icon a black screen is shown and nothing happens.

Oops, cut / paste instructions error! :)

Turn off the phone then press and hold the trackball to enter bootloader!

I can't get to bootloader by simply pressing and holding the trackball. I can get to it by holding the trackball and tapping the power button. then once the first screen comes up I select bootloader. once i'm one that screen, i run the superboot via the cmd prompt, but I get stuck at the following message:

fastboot-windows.exe flash boot nexusone.superboot.1.1.img sending 'boot' (2066KB)...

it just hangs there forever.

1) did i enter into the bootloader correctly
2) should i just keep waiting for a while?
3) if not, what am i doing wrong?

You need to unlock the bootloader first before flashing
