You can install the Amazon MP3 store on your Hero (i've done it!) :)

To do so...

- root your Hero using my method
- ensure 'USB Debugging' is enabled from settings
- download the Amazon MP3 APK to the directory containing the root tools
- open a command prompt at the above directory
- type 'adb remount'
- type 'adb push com.amazon.mp3.apk /system/app/com.amazon.mp3.apk'

Job done! ;)

Okay, I have another stupid question... how do I actually buy a track. I press one side I get a preview, I press the price it says 'Buy' but how do I checkout? :)

Ok, I found the username password bit now... ignore me. Move along now, nothing to see here...

are the songs in your amazon app in dollars or sterling. Its not letting me purchase (credit card could not be charged) and im wondering is it because UK users cant purchase from the USA store. I know its not a card issue as I can purchase from my desktop computer without problems

I'm getting the same thing. If anyone can shed any light that'd be cool. I'd really like to be able to just buy stuff on the fly from my hero.

All goes through fine, until the credit card charged bit, which fails. All the rest of site working just fine and dandy too. It just won't charge the card

Goes like this -Purchasing...
Purchase Started (tick)
User Authenticated (tick)
Credit Card Charging (Red block circle) and says
"Credit card could not be charged. Please check your account settings. Payment Method unsuccessfully charged.
and then
Purchase Failed.

But card is fine and I've used it on my PC fine... - I'd say it is a region thing but dunno whether its sortable

Substitude 'mp3s' in your sentence for food, beer, gadgets (or anything else) and you'll realise how silly that sounds vik2001 :D

fairpoint guys i wont argue with the comments. its just if i spent money on mp3 downloads. the pennies i spend on eating crisps as my lunch during the day will go down the drain. thats how hard some of us have it. but anyways we wont get into all that, i was just being sarcastic with my earlier comment.
so all i will say is keep it android and keep it free LOL
